The Leeds Light Blues Club held its first Open Mic Lecture Day at the Allerton, Leeds, where 20 brethren and candidates were delivered four lectures, of different Masonic and historical subjects.
Despite a flash covering of snow, the fish and chip lunch was still successfully received, with gratitude to Corona Chapter for covering the costs and thanks to the brethren on hand with 4x4’s to assist in the food collection! We look forward to holding more of these days in the future, where any brother, irrespective of rank, can practice delivering a lecture to peers. The Leeds Light Blues Club are hosting a free day of a series of short peer-to-peer lectures, suitable for both Masons and prospective candidates.
Lunch for an hour at 12 - Fish and Chip order to be taken prior to the first lecture, otherwise a Co-op is within a minutes walking distance for sandwiches etc. Lectures include: * a presentation on the Holy Royal Arch, * “A History of Freemasonry in Leeds 1754-2004” * “Royalty, Talent, Invention and Murder!” With slots also remaining for others to present! (get in touch with us prior to the event if you would like to present a 20-30 min lecture) secretary@lightblues.co.uk / admin@lightblues.co.uk |
