Rectitude Lodge No. 4383
W. Bro Stuart William Green passed away peacefully at home on the 10th April 2020.

Stuart was Initiated into Justice Lodge No. 4632 in the Province of East Lancashire.  He joined The Rectitude Lodge No. 4383 on 4th November 2011 and played a full and active part in the Lodge.  He was a very well thought of and popular member. Despite his poor health it was always his wish to be installed into the Chair of King Solomon.  Stuart was installed as Master of The Rectitude Lodge in February 2016.

He was an excellent ritualist and his delivery was always done with passion, engagement and balance.

Stuart served in the Household Cavalry Blues and Royals, Royal Horse Guards. and, though a very caring man who was unafraid of conflict, joined the Prison Service and worked at HMP Strangeways Manchester then HMP Wakefield where he retired in 1994 having reached the rank of Governor.

How very fortunate we were to have known Stuart as a friend and a brother. Our thoughts and prayers are with Pat and family at this very sad time.

Stuart was a work colleague, friend and a Brother.
He gave us all so much and he will be remembered for his gifts of real friendship and true brotherhood.
Our prayers are with his widow Pat. God bless.

Dear Brother and friend, the news that you had passed away came as a shock although we knew that you time was getting closer. Your friendship will remain with me forever because true friends like you are very rare. Your strength and courage reminded me of when I lost my brothers it was awesome never giving up and even towards the end your thoughts were of your family. Rest in peace Brother until we meet again in the Grand Lodge above.
