Ron was indeed the father of the lodge. He helped me with my ritual in the kindest way and was a very peaceful man. I will miss him enormously and will always remember him for his kindness.

When W. Bro Simon Wetherald and I have very fond memories of visiting Alfred Lodge on a regular basis. Ron always made us very welcome. He was a genuine man, and lovely company. Very sorry to hear of his passing.

Ron was Master of Alfred Lodge at the same time as I was Master of Harewood Lodge and we continued our friendship over the years. Ron, you will be greatly missed and happily remembered.

When I joined Alfred Lodge over 20 years ago WB Rhodes welcomed me and showed me great kindness, he will be sorely missed by everyone as we all thought of him as the Father of our Lodge. Our hearts go out to all his family at this sad time. R.I,P. Brother Rhodes.
