Devastating loss of a very dear friend to me and so many, a man with a heart that knew no bounds to friendship and generosity, who gave his all to his family, friends, masonry and all that he was involved with. Our sincere thoughts and condolences are to Clare and all close family. May he now rest in peace.

A wonderful man and Mason, gentle in his nature and always kindly and accommodating. A great servant in the past to Tapton Masonic Hall and someone who in every respect will be sadly missed.

John was a fantastic support to me as Chairman of Tapton Hall. He spent so much time and showed tremendous ingenuity in ensuring the building was maintained to the high standards it deserved.

John ( along with his late father Harold) was my proposer into freemasonry, during his year in the Chair of Furnival Lodge, and was a great supporter of my masonic career thereafter. A sad loss to the craft of a genuine and caring human being.
