University Lodge Sheffield No. 3911 W Bro Neville Kay of University Lodge Sheffield 3911 died after an acute illness.
He never stopped being remarkably vivacious and energetic. Long ago he retired from active orthopaedic surgery but continued to work as an expert medical witness. He married Anne in Richmond, Middlesex 4 years ago, a happy event attended by a number of Lodge members. W Bro. Neville was a Past master of Shrewsbury Lodge Sheffield 7221 (the Lodge of his mentor Sir Frank Holdsworth) He subsequently joined University Lodge and made an excellent Chaplain. When well over 80 his memory was still so clear that he volunteered to take over as Master of the Lodge. Neville was described as "idiosyncratic, unique and charismatic" by a colleague. He will be greatly missed not only in his Lodge and Windsor Castle Chapter 771 but also in Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia.
